anesti-vega-photography-01

As a child, Anesti Vega had been keen on the art of photography. He saw it as 'capturing a single moment in time that could never fully be recreated'. He loved the memories they retrieved, so he continued to take them as often as he could.

In early 2007, Anesti decided to take photography more seriously. His first pro camera he bought was a Pentax ZX-50 35mm film camera on Craigslist from fellow photographer and now friend, Aaron Joslin. Having only 24 to 32 exposures per roll of film taught Anesti to put tremendous thought into each shot and concentrate on the best angles and lighting scenarios without compromise. The categories of nature and architecture were his main focus at the time.

Fairly soon after, Anesti upgraded to digital SLR's and started adding people and headshots to his portfolio. Canon is his weapon of choice and with a series of fast prime and zoom lenses to his arsenal, coupled with his knowledge of martial arts and sports, started making a name for himself as the "go-to person" for action and extreme sports photography. He has been hired by top brands and event companies worldwide, has a steady portfolio of celebrity athletes/entertainers and continues to sharpen and perfect his craft along the way.

elamintal?

What is Elamintal and why is it on some of the photos and videos featured on this site? Elamintal was the name of Anesti Vega's first production company. It specialized in a variety of production services that ended up spreading too thin. With the launching of Maluco Studios specializing in action and extreme film, video and photo... Elamintal is now only a name that represents Anesti's early work.
